Sean Paul is slated to open for Mariah Carey for the first half of The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, The Hits, The Tour.
The Dancehall don will begin opening for Carey on Aug. 7th in Tampa, Florida through Sept. 9th in Auburn Hills, Michigan, hitting cities like Atlanta, Philadelphia and New York City in between. Also, Paul will join MC in Canada, by making stops in Toronto on Aug. 13 and Montreal on Aug. 15.
The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, The Hits, The Tour marks Paul's first national outing since the The Roc The Mic Tour in 2003. Tickets for the tour went on sale on Friday (June 2).
Paul recently released the third single from his platinum-certified album The Trinity, entitled, “Give It Up To Me.” From there, Paul will be prepping “Never Be The Same” as the next single ready for an international release.
In related news, Paul recently got a laugh during a party Sunday night (June 4) at the New York City nightclub Quo, as a man with dreadlocks claimed to be the reggae/dancehall star in the VIP area of the club.
The Sean Paul imposter was actually able to pull off the impersonation, until the real Sean Paul arrived hours later in the VIP area.
“Sean Paul just laughed and asked that the guy get the boot from the VIP room,” a source told the New York Daily News.
